Mission & Vision

Our mission is to nurture a joyful, inclusive, project-based learning community where the strengths and needs of diverse learners are deeply supported. We guide children to discover who they are, to understand their strengths, and to find purpose in their learning. Rooted in connection to self, to others, and to the natural world, our graduates are prepared to thrive, and to help create communities that are just, sustainable, and full of possibility.

We are a big-hearted, inclusive learning community where kids are seen, trusted, and encouraged to take ownership of their learning.

Because we are intentionally small, we can build strong relationships and support each child’s unique path. Curiosity, purpose, and real-world connection guide everything we do. We delight in each student and create a safe, vibrant space where they can grow into their full, authentic selves.

We believe play is essential at every age. When learning is hands-on, engaging, and joyful, it comes alive. Our students are thinkers, builders, artists, and explorers doing meaningful work. Along the way, they develop confidence, academic strength, and a deep sense of purpose and responsibility.

Emotional regulation and compassionate communication are core to our approach. These skills are explicitly taught and modeled by everyone in our community. We actively practice conflict resolution, repair, and accountability. This is how we raise grounded, empathetic young people and build a more connected, just world.

Community is at the heart of our school. Families are part of the daily rhythm of school life. They help care for our space, support one another, and co-create the culture we want for our children. This shared effort keeps tuition more accessible, supports diversity, and strengthens relationships between families.

We believe learning should be rooted in real life. Our students collaborate with local artists, scientists, land stewards, and community leaders. These partnerships bring learning to life and help kids understand what it means to contribute, collaborate, and care about something bigger than themselves.
