Renee Miller
MS Educational Leadership, MA Curriculum and Instruction
Renee Miller is a progressive educator, school leader, and academic coach with more than two decades of experience supporting children, teachers, and families in both public and independent school settings. Her background spans classroom teaching, curriculum design, teacher mentorship, and school leadership, including roles as Director of Teaching and Learning at a K–8 independent school in Napa and Head of Elementary at a progressive immersion school in San Francisco. Through her private academic coaching practice, Full Circle Math, Renee works closely with children and families to untangle the emotional and organizational challenges that can get in the way of success, with a specialized focus on mathematics and learner advocacy.As both an educator and a parent, Renee is passionate about building a school where kids can be themselves, follow their curiosity, and feel deeply known by the adults who guide them. She believes that education should be playful, purposeful, and personal, and that schools should be places of belonging and possibility for every child.

Molly Carr
MA Marriage and Family Therapy
Molly is a therapist, educator, and former user-experience designer dedicated to creating inclusive, emotionally attuned spaces where people feel safe, seen, and connected. Her background spans progressive education, curriculum design, and social services, including work with refugees, trauma survivors, and underserved youth. She has taught elementary Spanish, developed workforce programs, and led creative initiatives for a national public school network. Today, she brings her deep commitment to compassion, curiosity, and equity into her work as a trauma-informed therapist supporting individuals, couples, and families.
As a founding team member of Sacramento Community School, Molly brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach and a strong commitment to the emotional wellbeing of children, families, and educators. She believes that schools should be inclusive, heart-centered places where kids feel fundamentally safe to be themselves and where community is at the core. -

Georgina Kalondu
PR, Marketing, and Event Planner
With a career spent at the intersection of storytelling and strategy, Georgina joins Sacramento Community School to help share our mission with the world. With a background in Public Relations and Marketing, they specialize in building authentic connections and ensuring our school’s values resonate within the local community.At Sacramento Community School , Georgina bridges the gap between creative outreach and technical insight. By utilizing Data Analytics, they provide our team with the actionable insights needed to refine our programs and scale our impact sustainably. Georgina is passionate about using modern communication tools to advocate for educational reform and is committed to building the operational foundation that allows our educators and students to thrive.

Molly Chesbro
Registered Nurse
Molly is a registered nurse and architectural designer with over a decade of experience in sustainable design, including work on several progressive K–12 schools. Her background blends healthcare, environmental responsibility, and educational design, with a focus on creating learning environments that support children’s wellbeing, creativity, and sense of belonging. A graduate of a progressive education herself, Molly is a strong advocate for learning grounded in play, community, and inclusion.As a founding parent, Molly is deeply committed to helping build a school where children feel safe to be themselves, nurtured in their curiosity, and supported by caring adults. She believes that schools should feel like home; places where relationships matter, voices are valued, and every child is seen and celebrated.

Emily Newton
PhD Developmental Psychology, MA Child Development
Emily is an educator, researcher, writer, and generally curious person. She has 25 years of experience studying and sharing about the importance of a play-based and relationship-rich childhood.Emily first worked as an Early Childhood Educator in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. Her deep interest in how children learn about themselves and other people led to an academic career in Developmental Psychology, first as a graduate student, then as a professor, and finally as a researcher at a non-profit organization. She has taught and trained at all levels, from infants through adult learners. In her non-profit work at WestEd, Emily tackled projects on standard setting, educational assessments, and kindergarten readiness for multiple states and state-wide agencies, including California, Maryland, and Illinois. As a researcher, she studied the foundational connection between early relationships and socio-cognitive development in young children. Her work has been published in the journals Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Infancy, and The Zero to Three Journal.

Lillian Tinsley
Early Education Specialist
Lili is a seasoned early childhood educator with a strong background in Montessori philosophy and a proven track record of leading nurturing, child-centered programs that prioritize curiosity, connection, and play. After beginning her career as a preschool aide, she quickly advanced into leadership roles, eventually running a beloved play-based daycare program in Sacramento known for its warm, creative atmosphere. She later joined a Montessori preschool, where she served as a head teacher and completed her Montessori teaching credentials in 2023. Lili has been recognized for her ability to create emotionally attuned environments where children feel safe, seen, and inspired to explore. Her leadership is marked by deep attentiveness, steady guidance, and a strong belief in honoring each child’s unique voice and rhythm.
